Center for Biomedical Research, Population Council

The Angsantikul Laboratory conducts preclinical and early clinical formulation development of sexual and reproductive health interventions. We seek to apply engineering designs to develop novel delivery systems and manufacture oral, topical, implantable, or injectable dosage forms.

Our Organization

The Population Council conducts research to address critical health and development issues. An international, nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, the Population Council aims through its work to provide options for couples to plan their families and chart their futures; to help people avoid HIV infection and access life-saving HIV services; and to empower girls to protect themselves and have a say in their own lives.

Through biomedical, social science, and public health research in 50 countries, the Population Council works with partners to deliver solutions that lead to more effective policies, programs, and technologies that improve lives around the world.

The Population Council’s Center for Biomedical Research (CBR) – located at New York’s Rockefeller University – is a vibrant hub of scientific investigation and product development. For more than 60 years, research conducts at the CBR laboratories has addressed critical questions in reproductive health and supported the development of innovative products that help protect the health and well-being of millions of people worldwide.
